The Play Full Collective



We are a volunteer group of six emerging theatre artists, linked by a shared dramaturgy practice, working to cultivate collaborations in the Scottish theatre community. Formed in 2022 by Anna Whealing, Emma Lynne Harley, Linton Zhang, Sarah Marie Mooney, Victoria Giambalvo, and Wren Brian after meeting at a Playwrights Studio Scotland Dramaturgy event.

Anna Whealing

Writer, Director, Dramaturg

Anna is a writer, director and dramaturg from the Highlands with a passion for creating opportunities in Scottish theatre. She enjoys collaborating on unconventional concepts and getting right to the heart of a story.

Emma Lynne Harley

Director, Writer, Performer

Emma Lynne Harley is a queer, working-class, multidisciplinary theatre maker, director, writer and performer who makes vibrant cross-genre work. They are a Lyceum L20 alum, and co-director of award-winning Siren Theatre Company.

Connor McKenna

Playwright, Dramaturg

Connor McKenna is a playwright, dramaturg, and musical book writer. He received his MA in Playwriting & Dramaturgy from the University of Galway, as well as a BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU Tisch. He has written six full-length plays and several shorter one-acts. He recently took his solo show, Seltzer Boy, to the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it won the Super Power Award at the Skinny Magazine’s Bestie awards. His work has been performed with the Young American’s Theatre Company (Bears, Booze, and the Band Teacher’s Stepdaughter), Imaginarium NY (On the Education of Imperial Daughters), and Little & Fierce Theatre Company (Aztec), the same play being recently published by 1319 Press. In addition, Connor is a passionate linguist and avid creator of constructed languages. 

Sarah Marie Mooney

Director, Dramaturg, Writer

Sarah is a Paisley-born director, dramaturg and writer. She has worked with organisations including Perth Theatre (director) Pitlochry Festival Theatre (assistant director), Playwrights’ Studio Scotland (trainee dramaturg), Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting (reader) and Framework Theatre (director). Her work has a focus on feminist storytelling, creative access and collaboration.

Victoria Giambalvo

Writer, Performer

Victoria Giambalvo (she/they) is a previously New York based, currently Edinburgh based actor and writer. They have a passion for creating and performing in immersive and interactive experiences. They host a weekly storytelling podcast, Half Baked Tales.

Emma Forsyth

Theatre Maker, Producer

Emma (she/her) is a theatre maker from Dumfries & Galloway, based in Glasgow. She’s worked in producing, creative and facilitation roles in companies such as the Stove Network, Arts D&G, Wonderfools and Theatre Royal Dumfries. Emma’s interested in work that captures the nuances of life, infusing everyday experiences with humor and heart to transform real tales into vibrant performances. With experience in new writing, artist development and community engagement, Emma was ecstatic to be involved with Play Full. She is currently the Assistant Producer for Imaginate and Merchant City Festival 2026.
